The Shabby Tea room card #148

January 9th, 2013 Filed under cards, Competitions Tagged ,

Oh wow, I only just got the news about winning and The Shabby Tea Room put up the next challenge and I COULD NOT RESIST!!! My favourite 3 colours in the world are blue, cream and brown – especially in shabby-style. I HAD to create something and as you can see I went a little crazy and did  a card AND an envelope.

The card: I used the gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers – glitter roses – caramel, Petite roses – blue, Whimsy – white and Fairy floss – soft blue.

The die-cut card I picked up from the expo at Penrith this year from Arts stamps. The chipboard bird is from Twiddleybitz.

I’m not sre where I got the paper but some of it is from Karola Witczaks’collection called My Private Happiness and Cozy Christmas (The Scrapcake).

The envelope:

Again I used Manor House Creations flowers – Imagine – blue, Fairy Floss – soft blue, blossoms – white & the caramel glitter roses.

Embellishments are  Collections paper squares, Melissa Francis resins, stickers and liquid pearls.

Thankyou TSTR for some more amazing inspiration!

I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas this year and now you are having some down time. I know I am. Its lovely to break from the routine and just chill out. My blog has been a little ignored lately due to business and sickness (my kids got whooping cough – let’s not go there!) But now everyone had recovered, I have actually had soem time to go web surfing and ignoite my enjoyment of card-making. Sorry I can’t show you many of them because they are lined up for publication elsewhere, but this one I can share because I made it especially for a new blog I have discovered – The Shabby Tea Room, created by the fabulously clever Debbie Marcinkiewicz.

Here’s this week’s challenge: MONOGRAM MADNESS

And here’s my entry:

I thought it would be good for Mothers Day, later in the year.

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog as part of the IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS and MANOR HOUSE CREATIONS joint blog hop.

SO, you should have just arrived from Karen Shady’s blog

to see my creations using both Manor House Creations flowers and Imaginarium chipboard – lets face it…who can scrap without chipboard? Not me… and I’m a flower addict!

Featuring this gorgeous chipboard butterfly which I spray painted then topped with a paper punched butterfly then dipped the wings into seed beads.

I love layering chipboard as I have shown here with the chipboard frame cut in half then layered with the ‘together’ title. And I adore this new Lotus flowers from MHC - this one is called Imperial.

I sprayed this Imaginarium chipboard bike with Glimmermist called ‘Apple’ but its comes out very gold, which  I love.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these colours too – my favourite!

A pretty card set

November 16th, 2012 Filed under cards Tagged , , ,

Hello to all my scrappy friends out there. I have so many now – what a wonderful craft to share in and all the lovely people you meet along the way. I am so lucky.

Ok, so another share, and yes, these were another projects kept under wraps for the Penrith show here. This was another of the most popular kits and sold out in one morning also. It has the new Manor House Creations Spring release flowers called ‘Springtime’ in it as well as a few favourites and also 4 packs of Twiddleybitz chipboard – some of my favourite.

And here’s some close-ups. The instructions for this kit are all available on the Manor House Creations blog.

They use the Scrapcake papers from Spring Awakening.

Karola Witczak does such pretty designs – I stillove this collection. Hope everyone that bought the kit at the hsow, loves it as much as I did.
